Nasir Ahmed Apu- Pop/ Rock Singer, Song writer, Tuner, Music Composer and Music Producer started his music career from “ Spondan”. As a young genius rising star and a co-founding member of Spondan, he started singing and engaged in creating new kind of Bengali music in Spondan from the right after its formation on January 17, 1972. His created songs got quick popularity in Dhaka city and soon all over Bangladesh. He reached a level of excellence in the domain of music namely “Bengali Pop Music” from Spondan by virtue of his talents, utmost sincerity and dedication. He was and he is the only Lyrics writer, Tuner and Music Composer of Spondan until today. During his attachment with Spondan, Apu  created numbers of immemorial songs like Amon ekta maa deyna, Sritiro sai pothey ajo, Paglar mon nachaiyya, Rita jeona cholay, O goria tui kothai rey, Ai montarey dana melay deasi, Golir dharer saylayti, Shajea gujiea de morey shojoni tora, Shai galo elona firay kolshi knakhay nodir tiray, Peep Peep Peep etc songs. Nasir Ahmed Apu was the key architect to synchronize and harmonize western musical instruments with his own written Bengali Pop songs. Apart from his career in music, Nasir Ahmed Apu is a professional Dental Surgeon practicing in Los Angeles, California. Major events of his music career in chronological order since 1972 till to date are appended below:

• 1972- Spondan Cultural Group was formed. He was the young Singer, Song writer, Tuner and Music composer of Bengali Pop music of Spondan
• Contents of Spondan’s songs have eternal impact. Through musical performance, Spondan had been expressing man’s eternal quest for love, joy and peace, happiness and sorrow, wishes and aspirations, the mystery evolved between creator and creation, life’s unending frustration and other timeless thoughts in Bengali Pop music.
• Spondan introduced this new kind of research based Bengali Pop & Rock music, Folk and folk based spiritual songs for the first time in Bangladesh. Spondan’s first TV show was held at the National Television center located at Rajuk Bhaban, Motijheel, Dhaka in 1972. He was one of the participants in that program.
• 1972- Participated in a cultural program under the banner of Spondan at the  Grand Reception of Former Prime Minister of India Late Indira Ghandi in presence of Bango Bandhu Late Sk. Mujibor Rahman in an audience of half million people was held in Racecourse Maidan (currently known as Shishu Park) organized by the Government of Bangladesh.
• Registered song writer, Tuner and music composer of youth forum titled “Nobin Khonto” of Radio Bangladesh.
• 1973- Performed as a Pop and Rock singer under the banner of Spondan in different venue as mentioned below:
• February 21, 1973- Participated in a musical program of Spondan was held at National Press Club, Dhaka.
• 1973- Performed as a Pop & rock singer in a Grand Gala show was held at Jonaki Cinema hall, Dhaka.
• 1973- Performed at the feet of Shahid Minar, TSC and Dhaka University surrounding area and in other major cities of all over Bangladesh under the banner of Spondan.
• 1974- Dhaka record company recorded and released his one of the popular songs “Paglar mon Nachaiya”. And quickly this song got its place in a movie directed by Hashmot and got huge popularity. Also in 1974 his TV performance of Rita Jeona choley and World Music of Radio Bangladesh broadcasted his vocal songs continuously. At the invitation of Father of the nation Late Bango Bandhu Sheikh Mujibor Rahman, artists of Spondan including Apu also performed Bengali Pop, Folk, and folk-based spiritual songs in presence of all the members of Late Bango Bandhu Sheikh Mujibor Rahman. At that time present Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was also present in the program.
• 1975- Dhaka record company recorded and released his another immemorial song “Amon Ekta Maa deyna “sang by artist Ferdous Wahid.
• May 27, 1975- Performed in a Grand Gala Pop show of Spondan was held at Picture Palace Cinema hall, Khulna. At Spondan’s Grand Gala Pop show, super film star actor Razzak, actor Uzzal and film actor Taylee Samad performed and joined Spondan on the stage. It was a mind blowing amazing performance. Prominent artist Shahnaz Rahmatullah and film actress Anjana Rahman also joined and performed at Spondan’s Grand Gala Pop show with the assistance of the musicians of Spondan.
• 1975- Participated in various cultural programs at different places of Bangladesh through out whole year.
• 1976- Actively participated in various cultural programs under the banner of Spondan in different places of Bangladesh.
• June 19, 1977- Participated in a Grand Gala Music Night with all prominent music bands of Bangladesh organized by Spondan at the Ovishar Cinema hall, Dhaka.
• 1978- Actively involved in music and continue to perform in different places of Bangladesh and in National Television. In 1978 attended a major TV program presented by Poet Syed Shamsul Haq and title of the program was “History of world Pop Music”.It was a debateful program where Apu was selected as representative of Bengali Pop Music to defend his music against the opponent Abul Ahad, DG of Radio Bangladesh and Bhoumic of Bichitra , (weekly magazine). Program featured ranging from American Black singer, Beatles, other Bangladeshi major Band Music and ended with singing his song “ Shajea gujiea dey morey shojoni tora”.
• 1981- Performed in Bangladesh National TV on the eve of 21st February song with electric guitar, bass and Drums—lyrics, tune and composition of music by him. Viewers responded the program like a torrential flow. Next day all most all the major newspapers published the news of the program with huge attention.
• 1982- Performed Bengali Pop song in International Summer School, Oslo, Norway.
• 1983- Attended and performed in International Music Festival was held in Oslo, Norway.
• 1983- Performed in Norwegian National Television.
• 1985- Performed in a Musical Program was held at New York in front of huge Bengali audience.
• 1993- Founded Bangladesh Musician Society of Los Angeles. Continued to perform in Los Angeles including Hollywood Ritz Theater.
• 2000- Started to do recording of songs for Album.
• 2002- Released the Music Album entitled” Koyelia” by vocal artist Rina Ahmed. He was the lyrics writer, tuner and music composer of this Album.
• 2010- In February interviewed with Voice of America, Washington D.C regarding Bengali Pop Music.
• 2010- In July his Music Album entitled “This Mind” released in USA and in stores world wide like www.amazon.com; www.iTunes.com; www.Napster.com/nasirahmedapu; www.Rapsody.com; www.Emusic.com including radiodhaka.net and also released in reputed musical stores of Bangladesh.
